Its a Girl

Announcing Alyssa Joan(this picture does not justice to how cute this little girl is, remember it is from a cell phone camera right after she was born)

As many of you know my younger brother Ben got married at the beginning of this year and soon after found out their due date for their first child was Dec. 6,2008. They have been having a really tough pregnancy with Janna being in the hospital at least four times in the last month and being on strick bedrest to keep their little girl from coming too soon. Well last night they went to St. Lukes in Meridian and after a few hours were transported to the downtown St. Lukes in Boise. At 5:50am(time might not be exactly correct) little Alyssa Joan Stewart was born. She weighs 3 lbs 12 oz and is 17 3/4in long. I had the chance to go see her a few hours ago and she is doing fantastic. She has been breathing on her own since she was born this morning and although she is in the NICU she is in an open bed(meaning no incubator) which is a relief. What a strong little girl. I let my brother borrow my camera to take pictures so once I get it back I will be posting some pictures of the newest addition to our family.

P.S. at the end of November my older brother James's wife is due to have their first baby as well, Also a baby girl.

She is sooo tiny! I'm so used to seeing my newborns - full chubby cheeks and rolls on their thighs!

Congratulations on your new niece! I asked Amanda Drean the same question about her blog and she told me to go to scrapblog.com. You can choose a template, add your pictures, publish and then save as a jpeg (under File). Really easy! Hope you had a good Halloween!
