Trip to Utah

This last week Craig and I went to Utah for a few days. We really needed a break"considering the stressful situation in which we are living"(quote by Craig). Craig's best friend Dave Otis from high school got married in the Draper Temple and we were lucky it was during our spring break so we were able to attend. Before we went to their wedding we went to a session at the Salt Lake temple. It was wonderful. I have really started to appreciate the times I am able to attend the temple since I am normally so busy and am not able to go as much as I would like. It was raining when we got there but we took some good pictures.
When Daves sister Kim(green dress) went to Disneyland for a band competition she found these cute Mickey and Minnie hats for Dave and Amy. We absolutely loved them. Congratulations Dave and Amy we are really excited for you too.

The Conference Center. I love when the rain drops can be seen on the trees.

Birthdays and Birthdays

We were able to be with our brother in law Erik and little nephew Kade for their birthdays(both on Feb 27th). Unfortunately it was a sad situation as mentioned in a previous post the day of my cousins funeral. I thought I would post a comment Kade made to me "Aunt Cynthia guess what"kade "What"aunt cynthia. "I can't believe I am FIVE today"kade. "I know Kade thats crazy and do you know how old I will be tomorrow?...25"aunt cynthia to which Kade responded with wide eyes "HOLY!!!!" It was so funny I couldn't stop laughing. I love you Kado and I hope you had fun at Aunt Cynthia and Uncle Craigs house for your birthday.

Catching Up from February

On Valentines day weekend our friends Ethan and Bianca came to visit. We always have so much fun when they come. Normally when people visit it is stressful but when they come it is so relaxing because they are so chill. We did a lot of really fun stuff. We have started a tradition if you will of going to The Reef. It is one of our favorite places downtown because they have different food like Coconut crusted chicken strips(one of my favorites) and they have live music which is always a lot of fun. Craig had to work on Valentines so we went to pick him up at the mall. When we got there our friend Dustin was there too so we visited for a little bit and sorry Dustin but I had to add this picture.

We then headed downtown for some fun at the Reef. Here are some pictures.

Looking for a Job for Craig

For all of our facebook friends you are aware that Craigs position at Eyemasters is Changing. We are not very excited about the pay cut he will get or the way the situation is being handled but we are optimistic as to what this will bring. By this we mean hopefully less stress for Craig. He has been dealing with a lot at his work and this may be a blessing in disguise. We are currently looking for a new job for Craig because Eyemasters really doesn't offer much now. Please if you know of any jobs make a comment. Thank you.

Crazy and Rough Day

Yesterday was a very strange day. On Thursday night I had a hard time sleeping because of upper abdominal pain. I didn't think much about it because I didn't notice it on Friday. Friday morning was my cousin Robert's Funeral. I didn't know Rob very well since he had been in trouble quite a bit in his younger years. I never really knew him as a good person. I was amazed and blessed at his funeral to hear he had really turned his life around. There were quite a few friends at his funeral and co-workers that really enlightened how I felt about him. They said he was the sweetest and most selfless person they knew. When working in construction he would go the extra mile to get people water or just make sure everyone was ok. I was really grateful I learned this about him.
After the funeral and luncheon my family headed over to my house for a combined birthday party for Kade and his dad Erik(who were both born on the 27th). We had a lot of fun playing and watching Wally. This is when the weird stuff started. When Kade was opening his presents I noticed that the bottom right side of my lip had gone numb. Hmm thats weird I thought. Then I went and looked in the mirror to notice I had a huge swollen lip. It was not painful just swollen and itchy. I couldn't figure out what had caused this and I needed to go into work to finish my shift for the day. I said by to my family and headed into work. The minute I get into work. I couldn't stop itching everywhere so I went to the bathroom and noticed I had hives on the left side of my body. I went to the manager currently working and let him know the situation and I headed home. (so much for work I suppose) Then I tried to find an open urgent care(hoping to pay less than the ER) but it was impossible. I talked to Craig and he sent me to the ER. Once I got to the ER I was put on an IV and stayed there for about 1 1/2 hours. I have never had an allergic reaction so I was very suprised by this. The ER doctor mentioned that he had no idea what had caused this so he sent me home with a prescription that if my lip swelled again to take and come back to the ER. Luckily my lip did not swell anymore and I don't really remember much from when I got home to when I woke up this morning at 10:30am. I must have slept for at least 10-11 hours without waking. Sorry for the long story but I just thought I would share my crazy crazy day.

Our Third Anniversary

As many of you know in December Craig and I went to North Carolina for Christmas. Well our third anniversary was a week before Christmas and was two days before we left. I was stressing on who was going to take us to the airport to fly out for christmas. Craig had assured me that our friend Laura was going to drive us there. He said she would be there at noon. So I was finishing up a few things before she came. One of the things I needed to do was mail out the last of my christmas cards. As I am walking out side I hear Craigs voice from inside yelling"Wait! Where are you Going?" I couldn't understand why Craig was so worried so I nonchalantly said I was taking out the mail. Well. I took the mail out and this was pulling into our driveway

Craig come running out of the house just as the limo driver is asking if he was at the right place. He must have wondered what was going on because I was giving him the weirdest look. He said " is this 2463 N Maxie" to which I responded "Yes?" and he asked if he was at the right place and I said " I have no idea" When we got all of our luggage into the lime I couldn't stop Laughing. One Rod looks nothing like Laura and two Craig is so funny to get a limo for us. It was awesome. Here are some pictures from inside the limo.

The limo was full of these hearts in there and I thought it was hillarious.

The best part was the looks on peoples faces when they would drive by. Later that day when we were in the Minneanapolis airport afraid we were going to get snowed in we took our pictures by this large statue of Snoopy. As many of you know after working for Cedar Point for a summer I like the Peanuts gang and comic strip, movies and memorabilia(sp) so I couldn't pass this up
